It is very nice to see someone dedicating their time to help others . My ex Best Friend is going to school to be and EMT in NY and she volunteers for the FD there . I never got the chance to tell her how Proud I was of her and now we no longer speak . Good Luck to you and stay safe .

Good luck - but as already stated, don't let the job totally consume your life if you get it. Many firefighters end up neglecting their families, and the station takes their place.
