HUUUUUUGE red flag there. If one partner "has to wait" until the other is "ready", then there are severe relationship issues at work. You need to get some counseling WAY before you get married.

^you may have read way too much into that one. i took it as she has found the one and is waiting for him to ask her so she won't ruin the moment. i KNEW my husband would propose to me at some point but instead of nagging him about it and making an ass out of myself i waited until he was totally prepared so it could be more special....and it was well worth the wait :)

Well talking about marriage and kinda finding out what the time table is isn't negative here. I mean it doesn't really ruin the moment if he proposes when your least expecting it. Just cuz you talk about marriage sooner than later doens't mena he has to propose the next day, but just so each of you know where each of you stands?!

^^ OP here.. I've was married for 13 years. I know how it goes. I've been with this guy for 2 years and its a meant to be situation.. I'm just impatient, not immature. My boys love him. I love him and can wait as long as it takes. No rush..
