the writer has not specified if they are "selfish, a liar and a cheater." there are many other ways to compare someone to themselves. the question i have is.if this person is so terrible, why then do you put up with it? If someone cheats, they are not strong enough to tell you how they feel. for fear of hurting, or loosing something in the process.
