I have been there. My ex fought with a few family members the first time she met them. I think I slowly began to hate her after that. Several years later I had a relationship with a woman. The thrill and exhileration of an extra-marital relationship while in a marriage that grinds you into a low emotional state of mind is the most awesome thing I have ever experienced. I finally divorced her and still, I am trying to recapture that emotional high I had when I was in that affair. It was just an amazing feeling. I do not think it exists outside the realm of a bad marriage and an extra-maritial affair. Enjoy it while you can. Once you divorce, those feeling will never appear again.

The best and most rewarding relationships I have had nave been outside of marriage. Marriage piles the emotional issues of one partner on the other partner. Not for me. Marriage is a contract (a covenant) with rights and obligations on both sides.
