I have a man in my life that is that way too . he wanted me till he could have me then he became cold . Now that we have became so called FRIENDS he seems to spend more time talking with me then before . Cannot figure him out but I do care about him.

maybe they are not crazy, maybe that person did something to lose the trust and now, they are not sure if anything that person says is believable. maybe they were taken for granted and now it hard for them to forget maybe it is time they move on.
