Having regrets is a normal part of being human. Reflecting and altering one's perceptions of their past behavior is a GOOD THING! People who don't ever reflect are brain-dead.
You should be brave and admit to those around you that you are human. They already know what "human" is, but maybe they don't know or remember what it is to be a human of integrity. Integrity includes standing up for yourself and for what you feel in your gut is right and wrong.

It is amazing to me the amount of people that believe the worst about our President and our country. America has freed slaves and fed nations for years. We have protected the innocent and fought for the rights of people through out the globe for centuries. We have volunteered our time, money and lives for the freedom of peoples who where imprisoned by terrorist and defended those who sometimes did not deserve it. All out of the simple pleasure of helping them. We have not taken their land. Have not ask them to repay us in any way. And yet you people can still condemn your own country as if we were the terrorist. May God Bless America and a personal Thank You to the men and women that serve and protect this great Nation (my apology for the sorry asses that don't appreciate you).

first: it's the war on terror, in iraq, as opposed to the war on terror in afganistan, etc. second, once you start a war, as the terrorists have, to which we only responded, you can't 'take it back', you can only admit that you're a wuss. third, either you're against terrorism or not, pick one. the follow thru may have been poor, or other issues, but the problem would still be there, or worse, had nothing been done. get a clue.

We all got sold a bill of goods draped in a flag, you are not alone. It is safe to assume the administration had the safety of the US as a goal, but at some point in 2002 the goals of empire became just as important as safety. Wars need to be very short, decisive, and only of just cause. Iraq meets none of those criteria.

As soon as Bush got elected he began trying to find an excuse to get Hussain for going after Bush Sr. 9/11 was the perfect excuse. I don't understand how he was able to lead people away from Bin Laden and to Hussain, who had nothing to do with 9/11. This country is full of stupid sheep.
