It's a lie because if the above is what they are about then he is probably still cheating and you have become brainwashed and weak. Don't hate yourself, get out and away from him and forgive yourself. Don't buy into the lie anymore. Once they are in a fraternity, it is for life and they always do shit like that and worse.
