Most sexual abusers have been abused themselves. They know the pain of what you are feeling. They are sick and broken people in need of serious therapy. Make peace with yourself and dont be the victim of their sickness. Keep them away from you!!!!!If you try to figure them out you may lose yourself. Be strong. Have faith. You are not alone.

I'm sorry this happened to you. Your abuser probably didn't deny doing it because they must have a lot of guilt and shame over the incident. There are no excuses for hurting a child in that manner, but I imagine that your abuser was probably sexually violated as a child too and just continuing the cycle. I work as a counselor to juvinille sex offenders and I have yet to meet one that wasn't abused themselves. Their thoughts about sexuality are just very confused and disorganized. They need just as much help as their victims do.

It's painful also when they do deny it - deny it to the point that you made it up or that someone planted a false memory or say you asked for it and make it your fault. The pain subsides in time as long as you are willing to face it. When you are ready, really talk about it to so that others can be aware of how often this happens so it will STOP.

To molest a 5 year old child. This person should be taken care of in prison. I bet those prisoners would know how to treat them. That would be better than death. To the person who was violated at the age of 5.I can't even imagine it. This was not your fault ... no matter if anyone apologizes or not. Never think it was anything to do with you. Try to move on, get counseling if you need it and make the rest of your life good by surrounding yourself with good positive people who will make a good impact on your life...and you on theirs.
