I am the OP. I work for 8.50ph part time because there are NO OTHER JOBS! I work for a millionaire. He' seems like a really good guy, but I think the job should pay more. I also happen to think that I should not have to pay income tax. EVERTHING ELSE IS TAXED. THERE SHOULD BE ZERO INCOME TAX FOR THOSE MAKING LESS THAN 50K OR EVEN 75K PER YEAR! Imagine how THAT would stimulate the economy. People having more money to spend! What a concept, huh. Talk about supply side? well I certainly don't want to insult anyone here. however I must agree there are to many problems in this country to mention. Redistribution of wealth is not the answer. Either is many of our large corporations greedy practices. The first thing is our societies morals have decayed. I read many who talk about decent paying jobs. I have witnessed over the years that people lost what it means to work hard. And on the other side of the story I have witnessed companies promising employees pensions and benefits then defaulting on them. Our government representatives have sold us out. Many of them are to dumb to understand they are being taken. It doesn't do any good to keep pouring money into education, and then to find out that students are still not learning. It all starts in the Home, with the family. To many times I hear that it's the govt responsibility. Many times it's just bad decision making, and then instead of blaming our self first, we blame someone else. We all are to blame for our countries problems.
