My boyfriend cheated on me and I too have them and felt the same way. In fact I stayed with him longer because I felt that way, but I have met a couple people that I felt comfortable enough to sleep with and when I told them about the herpes they were ok with it. If you're careful and take meds or use condoms and don't have sex while having an outbreak you should be ok. When you know that 1 out of 4 people have them its not as big a deal as you think.

I fell in love with a man that had it. I don't have it. We met abruptly, became attracted really quick and before we went forward he told me.
