I'm 25 years old and I found out 3 days ago that I am HIV positive. I'm scared to tell my friends because I am afraid they will not talk to me anymore.

If they don't talk to you anymore then they were never your friends to begin with.

You are right. Tell your friends and you will soon realize they have always been only your associates.

True friends stick w/ you through thick and thin. Tell them. The ones that stick around are your true friends.

According to new reports from the epidemiologists, you can live 30 years with HIV and not contract AIDS. The pic is misleading btw, because HIV technically causes no symptoms. The media establishment has conflated HIV with AIDS, but the two are not synonyms.

People who aren't your true friends probably won't talk to you any more, but those who are REALLY your true friends will be weeded out from the rest. I say tell them and see who cares for you most.

It's none of their business unless you're sleeping with them. You don't have to tell anyone if you're not having sex with them.

I feel for you! When I was in my twenties, I tricked with a couple of guys who were HIV , and I had a GF who was HIV , but I never got it. I have left this lifestyle behind, and kind of like coming home from a from a war without having gotten killed or wounded. They have lots of new meds now, so being HIV is not the ordeal it was 30 years ago. Good luck and G-d bless

You will make new friends. And you don't have to tell everyone or even anyone, just your besties, the rest of them were never really your "friends" to begin with.
