Lol. Obama IS pretty socialist in terms of his rhetoric. But he's not going to stick to what he said any more than Clinton did. And if he goes too far, there will be a revolution and that will be that. BTW, it was a civilian military force he was talking about and it was an excuse to confine firearms to that one "militia" only, where he could control them. It wasn't really about thought police or anything like that, though you'd be no less vulnerable for it. It's going to take a lot of replacement ATF officers to get over all the ones he'd lose trying to confiscate the populace's firearms, however, so I don't see it happening.

I proudly voted for McCain. I can also be proud that I voted for George W. Bush when he ran against 2 total idiots: Gore and Kerry. Now either of them seems a better alternative than Obama. Bush did a lot of great things for this country, but he let the liberal media pin all the blame on him for anything that went wrong. Our current financial crisis was caused by the policies of Democrats - pushing banks to lend to unqualified borrowers. But Bush gets tagged for the downfall.

I am far from a scholar in Biblical prophecy. It is not a passion of mine, just a passing interest. My passion is living out the love that Christ has bathed me in.
From what I have gathered, there is a conspicuous absence of America in end time prophecies. Plenty about Iran, Russia, China and Israel, but America is absent. Perhaps the socialists in our country will have succeeded in rendering USA to impotency.

I'm glad I voted for Obama. I didn't feel McCain was the right leader at this time. Nor did I think his choice of vice president was a correct one. But that is just my opinion, and no two opinions will ever be exactly alike. Let's see what happens in the next four years. Actually many countries have flourished with Socialism. They are in Europe. Anyone been to Denmark or France lately? They have a higher standard of living and are on average happier than Americans.
