7^ Obviously we have more than one victim in the room. Stop being a victim and defending that mentality. The fact is, if someone is abusing children and you know while doing nothing, you are a f***ing accessory, by law. OP There is no way I could have imagined what happened to me. I don't know for sure that he has done anything to others but I found out that my moms cousin which is his first cousin was also molested by him she is 35 years old. There are laws that say that anything after 10 years is too late to do anything about. I am so scared to even try to tell the police or make a big thing of it. I just don't know what to do. I have my own kids and I am so protective of them and I do not trust anyone with them! Sometimes I think I'm too protective because my kids get sad because they can go walking with their friends alone, or riding bikes alone with their friends. I don't want anyone hurting my babies.

2^ I understand. I'm a parent who was molested. Most every close friend I've had was too. We have to let our kids lead their lives while protecting them at the same time. One thing that will help is having a close relationship and letting them know they should tell you if anything like that happens to them. Another thing is to get them into self-defense classes early. They need to know you want them to defend themselves from anyone trying to hurt them. Let them know you are on their side no matter what and bad people do exist, and they'll be much safer.
