One of the great benefits---- and there are so many in being a Christian, is that we're expressly told not to judge. Naturally we take this to mean judging others, and perhaps judging them too harshly. But I've always felt the Lord meant to include us, particularly those of us who may be prone to negative introspection. Lighten up, we're all bozos on this bus.

The first comment above is right on. If one really is honest about it, we all have a list of flaws a mile long. We all make mistakes, and we are all ignorant in one way or another. So what? Do you really think you are worse than everyone else in every way? The odds are you are not. Accept who you are, as you are.

Are there those who love you? Do you love them? Believe what they believe.

The only person in this world that I CAN love is me. I do not know how to feel love for anyone else. Consider yourself lucky!

I can't love myself either but I find comfort in knowing other people love me enough for me.

"This is love: not that we loved Him, but that He first loved us, and gave His Son as an offering for our sins." He is love. You can bring all of your failures, hurts, sorrows, troubles, injuries, illnesses to Him. He was every ready to comfort and guide when He walked this earth. He is still, and oh so eager to do so, if we are but willing to come and be healed. Christ lives. Christ loves. Christ renews.

This secret is worded beautifully with a great photograph. Thank you, writer!! (as a side note, wtf is up with all the bible bangers commenting? is this a new church project?)

You cannot love otheres until you love yourself. You reflect what they show/give you. Try to understand how you think that you love them; compare how that is different from the way you treat/see yourself; and begin to impliment changes to make them beocome similar. This is a long and difficult task to undertake, but it will be worth its weight in gold one you have arrived.

As stated we must love and yes, forgive ourselves before we can love another. We all deserve to be loved.

i know how you feel. i am in love with a very good man, but have been told by others that there is nothing special about me. i sat down one day and thought about it, they were right, but my man still loves me even though i dont love myself.

As a fellow "Bible-Banger" I would like to point out to those who seem so offended by my comments simply because of what or who I believe in, each one of us is commenting based on our innermost beliefs, yourself included, so lighten up Francis... "Yourself" is the most difficult person to love. Our culture constantly tells you you are not good enough, you need this dress, those shoes, a nip or tuck, different color/shape hair, etc, etc... .and then we pair that with other people who don't love themselves telling you you're not special because it puts you lower than them... Ah, it is an uphill battle, but tune out the world, and see that because you love, you are worthy of your own love.

I know what you mean. And if I can't even love me, how will anyone else ever come close? It's weird to me, though, because people TELL me they love me-- parents, grandparents, etc. I guess I just don't believe them. Why should I? They might SAY it but there's always someone else they love MORE, whether its themselves or spouse or whatever. Just once, I'd like to come first. Then, maybe, I'd know what loving me looks like... (Sorry, I guess this ended up being more about me than you. :/ *hugs*)

God is love. Love is God. Loving is a Godly act. By loving, one imitates God. All He ask is that we open our hearts and let His love come in. Give love a chance.

Always know that God loves you. You can live a life time knowing that and be complete with yourself. Your insecure. Feeling a lack of worth. If God can love you, so can you.

I feel the same way all the time. I wish I could love myself too. :(

if you cant love yourself, you are incapable of loving others, so you are very wrong when you say you cant love yourself but you can love everyone else. it isnt possible.

^4 is right. If there are things about yourself you don't like, see if you can change them. If not, see if you can accept them. This is no way to live.
Remove this stupid comment

^No, that is NOT right. Maybe OP believed it when people told him/her that they were absolutely nothing...
