You do the very best you can. There is no way one person can rescue every abused animal and if you tried you would end up in a situation of neglect of many animals and have them all taken away. I have seen it many times with rescuers. I know, it's painful to see them suffer but you are not personally responsible for each one. Just help the ones you can. Bless you for caring about them.

They're just animals. If those animals you saved were in the wild they would(or could) either abandon their offspring, be eaten, or they would eat other animals. How could those rescued animals do such a thing? Come on. Even PETA supports euthanizing animals.

PETA is disgusting... absolutely disgusting in so many ways. yes they help SOME things, but they hurt as much, if not more, then they help.Keep on doing what you can, maybe volunteer with an animal disaster rescue group, like noahs wish. You can't help all of the animals in a shelter, but you CAN help those animals that need immediate help and attention in disaters.just a thought, that is what i did. it is hard on the soul, but you KNOW you are immediately helping animals in need. you don't get to KEEP the animals, but you help save them from the disaster they just experienced ( usually natural is what noahs wish deals with, earthquakes, fires...)

For the second poster, I HATE when people say things about "what about people?" as if loving and caring about animals makes you indifferent to human suffering. Myself and my hubby volunteer for meals on wheels and try to give to charities when we are financially able to...my experience has been that these are the people that DON'T help others..just sit behind a keyboard and berate others that do.

Some people are so cruel to our little(some bigger than others)friends.i adopted a cat that was abused.She has been with my for 3 months and is just starting to trust me.I don't care if it takes 3 more months.She has a safe home where she is loved.Anyone abusing a cat or any pet shud get 10 yrs in jail.Enough said.GO ADOPT A PET AND GIVE THEM A LOVING HOME.

All animals are at the mercy of humans at all times. I know how cruel people can be. I have three rescue kitties and one friend who has no where else to go. I can't save them all......=(
