Right. Just love them and try to be a stable influence in their lives. I had an absent dad and a mom who did the best she could but really had no idea what to do. My oldest brother was very together and was a huge influence to me. I really did not realize just how much until I became an adult

Details? My sister doesn't feel I am the mother I should be to my kids yet she is a drunk and had an abortion and when she is with my kids she spoils them and encourages them to be naughty. You know the most important relationship in a childs life is with thier parents and I call BS about outsiders saying that they love these kids when they are constantly sabotaging the parents out of their own deluded ideas about how those kids should be parented. How about asking you sister is she needs help and doing exactly what she asks to help with?

wow, wonder why the administrator is blocking your comments OP? Well thanks for the details and I understand your concern. If your sis is doing drugs and running with men then those kids are neglected. There is more that you can do for those kids but it may mean making things bad for your sis. You may need to contact authorities and offer to take the kids for a while or for ever. We all need to step up for kids in abusive neglectful situations no matter how hard it is. If my sis (the drunk) had kids you better believe I would be all up in her business making sure those kids were safe and cared for. Good luck OP
