1 one up: That is so true. It is also said you never shit where you eat. I thought it was a bit too much emo for someone to quit their job just because a relationship did not work. The guy must have seen she was not girlfriend material. Hell, he may not even have a girlfriend. He probably told the Op that just to break it off. He probably thought his assessment of her was right that she was not too bright if she quit her job without another lined up.

I quit for multiple reasons, other people at work chose sides and turned against me, come to find out his 'girl-friend' was a girl that works there too, and I hated to working with him cuz I felt like he was always judging me.
