You do not appreciate what you have. It is true that money does not buy happiness. But it buys the freedom to pursue it. Embrace that and live.

You might have a chemical imbalance. Have you talked to the docs? I suffered for years unnecessarily before talking to a doc, getting a prescription, and actually learning how to enjoy life again!

3 up LOL

It's because you don't appreciate what you have. Wake up and realize what you do have in your life, or you'll lose what you do have worrying about what you think you want.

Part of the issue in America right now is everyone thinks they need depression meds to get them through life. Well, wake up. Most of the young generation has no idea how though life has or can be. Deal with life head on, and thus will make you a stronger person. Nobody said life is easy.

Happiness has to come from within no matter what your finacial status is. We're usually happy except lately it's been hard to be excited over anything knowing that we're about to lose our home that we worked so hard for these past 10 years. Husband lost his job last year when the big 3 auto plants took a dive. Yes Detroit is a hard city to live in but there are many good hard working people like us that are getting railroaded into the poor house. We want jobs. We want to earn money and live in a safe neighborhood but come this winter we might be forced out of our home along with thousands of other families. For us, money WOULD buy some happiness! Hope you find what you're looking for.

Try Prozac and pot....works wonders :)

I am a 59 year old male and like you I am not happy unless I am riding my mtn. bike.

3 up. I sympathize with you. I am an ex auto worker. Fortunately, I was able to retire before everything disintigrated. How much seniority does your husband have with his job?I wish you well, my friend

How bout you use some of that money to buy an EDUCATION?? Your spelling is atrocious...

1^, don't be so critical. The OP is clearly depressed and prolly stressed - and you have to harp on the fact the word 'live' was used instead of the word 'life'. Are you perfect? I'd doubt it.

OP, how's your relationship with God? That hole in your middle that you've tried to fill with stuff and busyness is the indisputable need we humans have for a relationship with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Give building that relationship a try - you'll find you feel much better soon.

1 up. STFU. She has enough problems without you trying to push a fairytale onto her.

1 up. You got that right. If she take the advice of 2 up and it does not work, she will blame herself

Give me your money. I guarantee happiness for at least 1 of us. Guaranteed. You betcha.

Stay off the meds and use what you have to help someone else or something else that needs help. How can anyone in this world be happy when ppl down the street can't buy enough to eat or have drug addicts for parents? The reason happiness eludes us all is because we have forgotten that we are all connected and need one another.

1 up: Your last sentence is absolute proof that you were educated in a public school. What you just said is straight out of textbook socialism
Remove this stupid comment

6^, even the demons know who Jesus is. You have believed a lie straight from hell if you think God is a fairytale. Don't lay your atheism on the OP. When she can't feel complete, she'll blame herself (and she oughta be blaming you for your ignorance).

1 up: Ok, I will give you a year of my wages if you can prove to me without any doubt whatsoever that you have seen, touched and spoken to your little baby Jesus. You have nothing to base your belief on except for what something is written in a little book. Wake up! That book was written by men. Those men wrote it in a way to control women. You know, wives, submit to your husbands? What those men have done is no different than when men go to another country, defeat it in war, then right the history books to suit the victors. It is not different. So, who is the ignorant one? By the way, I will be waiting for you to send that video tape of the conversations between you and baby Jesus.

1 up. LOL Forget it. Religious nutbags know no better.
Remove this stupid comment

^ lol Religious nutbags? That is a good description of them.

3^ Jesus is not a baby. He grew up to be a man, had a ministry for 3 years, was crucified, died, and rose from the dead. He is seated at the right hand of the father. Don't you know any of this? And if you do, are you saying you believe none of it?

1 up. On and off I spent 40 years in the Baptist church. I left when I finally realized religion is phoney. When I called him little Jesus I was making fun of him. What you say about him seated next to god and all the BS is nothing more than nonsense I heard for decades without a shred of evidence except for what is written in a little black book. I could just as easily read a fairytale book and believe as you do about the bible without one ability to prove to anyone that it is the absolute truth. That is all it is. It is just a fairytale.

OP, come back and tell us how you're doing.

2^, you're really self-righteous, aren't you? Are you the one who called the religious poster a 'religious nutbag'? Leave the guy alone - see which one of you right when you die, ok? That's the proof of the pudding.
Remove this stupid comment

Ooooo, I have to wait until I die to see if your position is a fairytale? Are you the one who said someone oughta be blaming me for my ignorance? LOL I am still waiting for you to prove to me that your little Jesus is hanging out with you.

I believe in a God. I do not believe in religion. My beliefs are based on what I feel and observe in this world by opening my mind and heart. Approach it from a clean slate and question everything and maybe you'll be enlightened. If not, that's ok too because non-believers seem to all be happy go lucky people, right?
Remove this stupid comment

1 up. Non-believers are far more open-minded. I will question everything. Including your statement one up from here.
