If you have that attitude, you aren't a REAL teacher because a real teacher knows that if you can reach and help just ONE student you've made a difference. It's not just blacks either! There's plenty of white, hispanic and other races that are flunking out and gang banging. Come to Detroit and teach. There's a lot of good kids that live in terrible conditions but are rising above that and making something of themselves.

As a teacher the first thing we learn is our expectations of students play an important role in their outcome. In research where the teacher was told they had "dumb" kids they performed poorly even though they were the "smart" kids. 2 other points very quickly black people have only had a fair shot since 1970 with the end of segregated schools and at no time have America paid these people back for the abuse handed out sanctioned by the government and lastly if you know anything about the human genome experiment we all come from 2 black people from Africa. Don't believe me look it up!

I went to majority black public schools in the fifties in a large city. Black students did not act ignorant in the fifties the way they do today. Blacks kids did not go around saying saying that school is for fags and punks and b****es. Why? Because every black classmate I knew lived with their mother and father who were MARRIED. This is the truth! Now 70% of black children are born out of wedlock, and this is the root of black problem in education, crime, etc. It is not rocket science to solve this! (And if you thing this is somehow "racist", any older black person will confirm this for you!)
