I don't think any religious people should decide the course of political debate in this country. Believing in fairy tales, then taking them to the polls is not helping us move forward as a nation. If anything religion is holding us back from being truly one. There are no gods and jesus is a lie.

FTR - not all Iowans are idiots nor religious fanatics. We were in fact one of the first states to approve gay marriage. It seems as though eastern Iowans are more progressive, liberal, and open minded. I don't think any religious fanatics from anywhere should decide the course of political debate but I guess politics likes brainwashing so...

If you don't belief in god that's ok you live in the United States but That's your own problem. The majority of the people belief, and it has a lot to do with this countries founding principles. The so called greedy are just people doing their job. They make money for a living and they want to be good at what they do, and that money that they make feeds millions of people. Shore sometimes making money has heart us. If not for making money we would still be in the stone age. I think some people take to much for granted.
