Friends with Benefits is an immoral issue when one or both are married to someone else. You don't fool around when you're married, or fool around with someone who is married. Period. It's immoral. I find it amusing when people create strict guidelines for their behavior, as in This is always unacceptable. Invariably you end up breaking the guidelines, making excuses for yourself, and railing against other people as though they can have no excuse as good as yours. Case by case is the only way to live. 11 up, if you're f***ing a person who is married to another person and you're o.k. with that, there's a screw loose. Marriage means that you've decided to hang with individual A through thick and thin, with an open mind and heart. If you're not getting sex from A anymore, and you can't go to A and say, hey, this has run it's course, and make arrangements for a divorce but instead you sneak around and lie, creating more problems, what the hell kind of person are you dealing with? My wife and I decided long ago that we would be finanically devastated if we divorced. We agreed that we would stay married and date others. At first it was awkward. Now it seems normal.
