^ Hard-sell tactics. Belittling a person for looking at something in a manner you don't approve of. The reality is that sometimes good things come to those who wait, sometimes what we want will happen with a minimum amount of effort, and sometimes you won't get what you want unless you take action. Of course it's not good to always wait for what you want to come to you. Always pouring yourself into chasing down every good thing is equally bad.. Not only will you be regularly disappointed, but you'll also prevent yourself from having good things come to you.
