From the author:1. Thanks for the troll, first noter. Made me laugh this morning.2. Not that I spend my life in loneliness, but I do want a family one day. It is 100% not an issue of not wanting a relationship (actually, I'm attempting a relationship right now, which is why this is on my mind again), and it is absolutely something I've been working to rectify ever since I discovered it was an issue years and years ago. Tiny character limits don't allow much explanation, but I didn't put "uncontrollably" in there by accident. Fixing personal flaws is a big focus of my life.

3^ I totally agree. I think it is a miserable existence to have to be in a relationship. OP If it feels right you would go for it. I do the same thing a number of things make me back out like age, their relationship states, looks, my standards. If it was right I would go for it.

^ Not in agreement, but just because you are still dealing with the pangs of love, doesn't mean that anyone will EVER want to be alone. Human nature is against it, I suggest you spending at least 8 years alone, then we'll talk. OP: Sounds like you're working to resolve it, just be sure to openly communicate those flaws to your beloved so that they may help you overcome them.

^ My bad, I do believe there are people who like being alone. It's rare though. I used to think I wanted to be alone, but then I wondered who'd scratch my back in the middle of the night, or wipe my ass if I ever needed it, or who I would share my successes with? Get a good game of connect 4 with? The world is an evil place, I guess I myself couldn't imagine anyone who could handle it all on their own. Partners/other halves are a good buffer :)
