Almost every European and Asian country manages to have, and pay for universal health insurance. Canada too, for that matter. So, basically, the OP is saying that we're too lame or stupid to come up with what the rest of the world considers a fairly basic human right.The OP is free to move to a country without even free emergency care. I have a problem with Mandatory to have health insurance. If you dont have insurance you will be penalized somehow...WTF how is that freedom? I have lived in Ma. for the past 6 years without health insurance. I am supposed to be fined for every year I do not have it. I have not been fined. Ma. health coverage is the blueprint for Obamacare with some differences, created by Mitt Romney. If you can afford health insurance but opt not to have it you are a fool and will end up costing tax payers more in the end. If you can not afford health insurance this new legislation is what will help you to have it. I do not see why there are so many citizens against this. I can understand why some in the Republican party would oppose it. Some of you Americans need a wake up call.

It does not matter that business are not hiring because of higher tax because of Obamacare. It does not matter that company's are dumping their heath care plans, and putting the employs on the government doll. Affordable healthcare...The only people who are for "affordable health care" are the ones who already get everything for free. They don't have to work for a living and now they can jam up our doctor's offices for a hangnail because it's free. FREE ISN'T FREE numbnuts. Stop blaming Bush. Bush has been out of office for 3 and a half years and what he inherited was attacks on US soil that HAD to bring in new homeland security measures. Bush and Cheney both tried to tell Barney Frank that Fannie and Freddie were in trouble and Barney Frank, the democratic chairman of Fannie and Freddie oversight, backed them both up and said the banks are fine! They WEREN'T fine and they collapsed! Let's lay out just one other fact for you....Historically, charitable contributions from democrats is about .02% of their income. From Republicans, it's about 35% of their income. We don't NEED all these social programs because the United States of America has some of the most generous people in the world and the libs only want to take what they would otherwise willingly give. Big government (libs) fails everywhere. Small government and people governing self (Republicans) is why so many people from other countries want to come here. Oh wait.
