He is no fool who gives up what he will loose to receive what he won't. My point is: We are all temporary here. We can all surrender it all to God and He will be the light of our life. Then, when someone we truly love leaves, we will miss them, but instead of being desperate, we will be thankful for the times we were given. Your life is a gift, you have no right to destroy it.

From OP: i don't believe in god, i'm 52 y/o and have no friends. i am alienated from my family, i take depression meds, i go to work to be around other people, my life is sad and lonely, my wife is the only person who loves me and stands by me, tho i don't know why, i feel my life is meaningless.
