First of all, start to investigate other views, Chrisianity is not the only way to view the world ,and live a good life, much of the Bible is from the hand of man, and not god, Be critical and learn of other ideals. Sex is not an 'addiction', it is a natural (God-given) drive, like hunger, thirst, and the need to breathe.
It also feels good, and we naturally want to repeat things that make us feel good. This doesn't make you a 'sex addict' - this is a trendy term used by those in the 'addict industry' to make capital out of your guilt.
Most people think about sex several times a day, and sometimes wish they were having it that often! You're NORMAL!

Addiction is a classification--you can be addicted to anything to the point where the smallest urge is more important, more present than huge life goals, dreams, relationships. I don't think Christianity is the problem...expecting some outside force to "fix" things might be. When you pray and "god answers," understand he does so in your own thoughts and voice. You have to turn yourself over to change and enlist the help of others to hold YOU to YOUR word and promise.

To the "There's no God" people...
I'm sorry but there's GOT to be a God! Evolution's got too many holes and frankly our bodies are the most incredible machines ever created. NASA can't get it right after a bijillion man-hours of intense engineering, do you think plankton was somehow better??? And I also don't buy into "aliens" or anything else that develops anything like us, or would be sensitive to time or in fact, have any beginning that would have to be explained. Something VERY different from anything we know HAD to exist IN THE BEGINNING...
One of you said "I left the church 10 years ago". I agree that the CHURCH is f***ed up, but I wouldn't blame God for human lack-of-wisdom! So you're divorced and free of the commitment...who wouldn't be?? I'm glad you're feeling strong in yourself and your new life. However, remember that some day we're all going to meet our Maker, and I'd rather believe in Him now and find out that He's NOT real later, than not believe in Him now, and find out that He IS real later. According to the Bible, that's an unfortunate time to make that discovery. Get rid of the anger and see what happens... My view is that God doesn't want perfect people, or even perfect-acting people...He finds those dull and insulting. He wants to walk with His creation, just the way they are. That's what He finds interesting and worth-while.
