Abuse is handed down. The reason someone abuses you is because they are losing the fight and bring it out as a weapon. I don't know how much you care for this person but if it's worth it to you BOTH go see a counselor together and alone and learn how to fight fair. Be an adult. If he doesn't want to see a counselor then you have your answer. But a therapist is the best way to deal with what you're going thru and will offer an unbiased and safe way to deal with it so you can heal.
