Smoking weed while you are pregnant has no real birth defect causing agents. The tar goes into your lungs only...your unborn baby gets no chemicals as there is no man made chems in weed..not like ciggarettes. Smoking weed in moderation is fine when you are pregnant. Some doctors even recommend or prescribe this during the first trimester when supposedly the fetus developes in it's most critical stage. f*** ciggarettes...smoke a joint.

Oh my god you're a moron! I was pregnant with someone who smoked weed everyday during her pregnancy, and I smoked cigs during mine. My kids are fine, and hers has mental retardations from the weed. I also know someone who smoked while pregnant and lost her twins when they were born and went to prison for it. You stupid f***s, they test the placenta for that shit after birth, and you will lose your children!

none of you know what your talking about. your all stupid and have done no research.....why? because if you had you would realize there is no research being done. why? because they don't do "experiments" on pregnant woman...too much liability! so there is no evidence based study showing it causes birth defects or not. they do know it affects adrenal function. which regulates thyroid production. which happens to regulate sex hormones (progesterone/estrogen). and that's about all they know! and while marijuana may contain tar, it does not contain the thousands of carcinogens that tobacco does.....and it is not responsible for 100,000's of people DYING EVERY YEAR!!! my husbands mother smoked cigarettes during her pregnancy and it caused premature labor...she should have stuck to a hookah!

To response # 3. If the tar goes to only to the mothers lungs, where do you think the baby gets it's oxygen from Einstein? Let me spell it out for ya. The baby gets oxygen from it's blood. It's blood gets oxygen from the mother's blood. the mother's blood gets oxygen from the mother's lungs. where did you say the tar went?
