This happens a lot. I have a cat and I treat it very lovingly. I killed a kitten once in a fit of rage when I was 7. I'm 62 now and I still remember it.

It's good to know other people have been in the same boat. I've had these current cats for over 2 years now, and I do everything in my human power to give them the best I can offer in the way they are treated, their food, toys, etc.

Personally, I think that an adult that hates cats just hasn't really known one well. That said, I was among those who has not always been so kind to animals. Now I don't even want to kill the rats that trash the garage.
