im white and my husband is native american. i look at him, and he is magnificent, beautiful, and such a wild spirit. i imagine in native american society he would be a prominent figure because of his personality. but here, hes like a caged animal sometimes! i wish we would have found some empty land somewhere, and left them alone. it's horrible what they went through. how would you like it if someone just barged in, killed your kids, raped your wife, and burned down your entire block? if you're left alive, all you have left is the sad memory of your freedom.

Survived it when? The reason most people moved to America from Europe is because of oppression and SLAVERY, in the form of the feudal system. Guess what black people? In the beginning of this country by far the most slaves were white indentured servents. Guess what Indians? You fought wars for territory for a thousand years before we came here with bigger numbers and better weaponry, and 10,000 years of bloody wars under our belt.You can't hold it against one generation that their ancestors were slavers and land grabbing murderers, because guess what? There isn't one single large civilization that wasn't founded on slavery and murder, and your ancestors have just as many black marks against them as ours.
