I love my kid, saved me. But it destroyed all other dreams. Sometimes, sometimes I almost regret not having an abortion. Does that make me evil or just sad....

Im sure many people have thought about it and maybe haven't said anything about it. No one is happy about giving up their dreams but I hope that your child compensates for that for the most part even though you feel sometimes that you gave up so much

Neither, smetimes we just have to vent how we feel inside. Besides, you said you love your kid, and that is the most important

I got pregnant early too. I wanted to do so much more and experience so much more. I never really got to live/enjoy life; but, all of my sacrifices seem worth it when she hugs me and says "I love you, mommy".

My 2 sisters, my 2 nieces and my step-daughter all had abortions and they all regret it.It's never too late to go after your dreams. It doesn't make you evil or sad. it just makes you human.

Niether, just selfish. Its natural. Its human nature. Move pats it and enjoy your time together. Life is what you make. Now go make your family smile and you will be smiling too.

A mother who sacrifices her own dreams for the sake of her children leaves them nothing but the legacy of a life unlived. Find a way to do both. Get a mentor to support you in your goals. You can do it! : )

I had a abortion and I regret it everyday. Its been 3 years and I still cry about it. Be happy that you didn't get one

it makes you realistic. i had an abortion at 18 and it was the BEST choice i ever made because i knew in my heart already that i wanted a life of freedom...not being tied to a child. i love my child-free life!!!!

There is no reason you still can't pursue your dreams it might take a little more planning and more creativity but it CAN be done. I can't imagine my life WITHOUT my children.

Neither and both. It makes you human. Just make sure you don't blame your kid and use him or her as an excuse for you not living up to your imagined potential. Because that is all that it is...imagined. It may have never happened anyways.

i've never regretted my abortion either, but that's beside the point. being flexible is necessary to having a fulfilled life. you may have to make adjustments, but you Can have your dreams and your child. it may take a lot of work, but regret isn't easy either, sooo... good luck to you.

I didn't realize that flagging meant 'thank you', I was actually trying to erase those. I am not ungrateful for my child at all. I simply miss my previous life. It has taken me almost 12 years to start missing it too, so screw you who were assholes about my post...To the rest that were encouraging regarding going for my dreams, you rock on.. I will go for it...So there, and I'm takin the kid...

That makes you stupid. I am a mother of 3 and my life is not the way I had planned, so therefore, I've changed my life goals. Why do people always think that having a kid ruins their life?

^^Flagging meant 'thank you' You are an idiot, your dreams would never have come true, kid or not.

My wife and I kind of "had to" get married. Honestly, at first I felt like I had been sentenced to a long prison term! And kids are very tough to raise in our garbage filled world. Yeah, we had problems, but when you have kids, you learn to work stuff out. But I learned to live with mini-vans instead of sports cars, and I learned to shop at Costco, and now I would not trade our four daughters for all the gold at Fort Knox!
