This doesn't make sense to me, but perhaps you are implying something I simply don't get. If you want to leave and can't bring yourself to do it, him treating you worse is not likely to change that.

He's emotionally abusive, a bully and a narcissist. Please read the book: Why Does He Do That? by Lundy Bancroft. Start researching emotional abuse, and contact the local domestic violence shelter. You are not crazy, it's not all in your head, and what your feeling is common for this type of abuse. He will not change. Ever. Pay no attention to those who are blaming you, or putting you down. There are, unfortunately, many of us who understand completely. Take care of yourself, and please, educate yourself on abuse, and seek help.
