Too many sounds in my head. 40 years of deafening noise. Can't make it stop. Can't think. Barely alive. Anxiously awaiting the silence of death. And I'm afraid.

Thanks everyone but after 17 surgeries and many doctors nothing has helped. I just want to hear nothing but silence so bad. I'm completely deaf in one ear and I only have about 40 percent in the other. The last surgeries was a retrotypanic mastoidectomy and now it's louder since I went deaf.

I know how you feel. I'm on meds for mine but sometimes it doesn't help. I can hear people talking but I can't make out what they are saying cuz there are more than 1 person talking all at once. It sucks and I hate it.
