You are all idiots!!! God is energy. Positive energy. To say that when you die nothing happens is to say that when you think, there are no thoughts. If you hold a positive energy then you will move on in the after life into a positive energy band.. if you hold a negative energy then the opposite will happen. God is positive energy. At least believe that your actions, thoughts, beliefs hold consequences... God is the positive energy that we all seek.

I did not know if there was a god or not. I used to believe that if there is a God, it would be impossible to know him. I was wrong. I picked up the New Testament at 14 years old and argued my way through it. I came to Romans 10. I called on Jesus , not really expecting any thing. I was desperate. He spoke my name, and I was instantly changed. Incredible joy and peace filled my being. I have since experienced his tender love and presence many times during my life (50 now). I know people are weak and wicked, but God is very different. The invitation into God's kingdom still stands. Jesus is the door. Don't be afraid.

i struggle with my religious beliefs as well. i feel there are so many beautiful things in this world that could not have just come up out of thin air. look how magnificently our bodies work! just random cells being put together could not possibly create that. it's too precise. it was made that way for a reason. but on second thought...there is a lot of ugly in the world too. how could a god that loves us so much let something like sept 11th happen? im so confused.

it scares me to think that i (a struggling believer) might be wasting my life praising something that doesn't even exist. i wish i could get a sign from Him to tell me what i'm doing is worth it. but, unfortunately, no matter how hard i pray, i never get the answer i'm looking for. i guess this is where faith comes in. but to get trust and faith, it needs to be deserved right?

no it doesnt that is religions way of conning you into believing in something that doesnt exist. Think about this logically... religions were dreamed up by mankind before science could explain things like disease and pestilence, and natural disasters ... we have evolved enough to know there is no old man in the clouds with white hair and a beard looking down on every little damn thing you do ... its preposterous! I was once a very religious person myself ... so i know the struggle you are going through ... when you realize that shit happens for no apparent reason and its not MEANT TO BE ... and that no one is TESTING YOUR FAITH ... that its all just coincidence the happier you will be focusing the little time you have here ... when you die you die ... end of story.

People can be pretty horrible, but that's exactly why we NEED God. He does exist and I think the atrocious acts of man-kind make Him very sad. His love is everlasting and He desires a real, intimate relationship with all of His creation. It is sad that so many people have done such vile and horrible things 'in the name of God', but I know that isn't His heart, and that He has been hugely misrepresented by many "Christians" who don't really know Him. I believe that all people (including Christians) are self-serving to their core, and that only those who call upon the name of the Lord, will be saved and have their ugly hearts transformed as they truly submit their hearts to Him.
