i have 2 kids and i left after that same situation with my ex. he lives a hour and a half away now and by his choice we have only talked to him 2 times since christmas. the kids and i are doing so much better now and im glad i went threw with it as he was the problem and i guess he knew that too deep down or he would have called a bit more to talk to the kids.

I divorced my ex after I found out she was sleeping with my friend. But before that.. she was crazy. And I was part of the problem. We just didn't fit. Once you get to that point where you know you can not be happy or the anxiety will not go away.. it's time to call it a day and pack up and get the heck out. As far as the kids are concerned. What you need to realize is that it's the kids who suffer the most. My ex made a comment to me that still resinates in my head. She said "how is our daughter ever supposed to learn what intimacy is?" She was right. We didn't have it and at least I know she's seeing it right now with my ex-friend and my ex wife. You have to remember that a divorce is all about the kids if you have them. How are they going to handle it? Make it as easy for them as possible by being adults when you talk to each other and about each other. The kids will see that and use that in their life when they come up against a crisis. They will handle it like adults too.

OK, so you didn't come out and name any express problem (like drugs, addiction and problems that really can be one-sided) so I'm assuming this is a classic communication or resentment dilemma. If that's true, you a probably both responsible for the problem. Get help...is it really something so irreconcilable?

I agree on both..the problem could be 1 or both.I my think problem is her. Only because I have nothing to hide. Oh but she does..lots !
