Actually I'd rather confess in here than to a Priest. I'm an Atheist and I believe death is annilation forever. However I've never stolen anything since I was a preteen and I sure never killed or assaulted anyone. So actually in my eyes I have nothing to confess. Perpetual guilt trips are not my forte.

I am Catholic. I was very devout for about 4 years. I also went through hell during those 4 years. Since I've fallen away I've not had to deal with so much crap. I know it's because the devil has me right where he wants me. I'm mad at God but I love Jesus. I know that doesn't make sense because I'm taught to believe Jesus is God but for some reason I feel like God is mean and Jesus is all loving. I am in a bad relationship right now where I am the other woman. All I really want is to be a wife and have a good husband. I don't want to live this kind of life anymore. I am mad at God because he hasn't brought someone into my life to be with and helped me get out of this sinful situation. It really sucks.

I think you are the first person who really believes he/she is perfect. You haven't stolen anything since you were a PRETEEN, but you have stolen? Did you ask for forgiveness for that sin? What did the OP do to anyone? Did he say everyone is gonna burn in hell if they didn't confess. He said "some of you" as in the people who are going through difficult times, and he is saying confession can help. I don't see why everyone is getting so offended, or being so rude about it, especially if they are so 'tolerant'
