when you live with somebody its hard when you are a kid you just do what you are told so its easier but as an adult you hate being told what to do.

Unfortunately, most older people are bitter, angry, and selfish. It's simply a result of hormone deficiencies, and all you can do is coddle her.

I can understand having to live with a parent and it has nothing to do with being a lazy ass, you ass. We should honor our elderly parents when they need us, if it's within our power to do so. My mother has asked that I move back home to care for her as long as possible before she has to go to a senior's facility. Don't presume the OP had circumstances involving being lazy. Fortunately, mine is still sweet and loving, but I can see why age, illness, unhappiness, depression, control, and a dozen other reasons would make the relationship completely different now, then it was back then. OP, you should call some local agencies on aging (they are there), starting with the Dept. of Aging, and they will help guide you to resources for dealing with elderly parents, including getting breaks and domestic help if you need it.
