Excellent! Unchecked aggression is dealt with in two ways: Prison time or Military service. Good choice! When you're through with the Marine Corps you'll be entitled to all kinds of gov't aid, have better work habits, and a better chance at your choice of employment! Quite the opposite when you get out of prison!

Well, be prepared for a lot of hard work and boredom. Not only that, the Marines have higher standards than the army, so you'll have to pass more aptitude and emotional tests. Only kill when your told to. You won't get many chances, so if your told to engage the enemy, then you better beat your comrades to the kill. 1 of 3 things will happen after you kill an enemy combatant. You will either feel like shit and suffer from PTSD. Or you might feel nothing at all. Or you might get a rush, and find out that your a Sadist. Either way Semper Fi. If you find out your a Sadist, do your country a favor and stay in the Marines for life. Readjusting to Civilian life may be hard, and you might be tempted to kill fellow Americans.

I know a guy who killed nine Vietcong during the Vietnam war. He was in Vietnam from 1963 until 1971. He killed some street punks in Saigon in addition to the nine VC. He retired from the army and he killed his brother in law after he found out he was molesting his own children. He did only five years for that and while in prison he killed another inmate in a fight. The other inmate had attacked him first so he wasn't punished for it.
I drink beer on the weekends with this now old man and all he talks about is the good times he had ending human life. He has two children and five grandchildren and he loves them more than his own life. When his daughter comes into the Tavern where we are drinking I get up and give her my seat. He doesn't like that but he understands how much I repect him. He sits at a large table and tries to make sure there are enough seats for all of us.

I joined in 03 for the same reason. Be careful what you wish for. Once you pull the trigger, your never the same. It doesn't get easier to kill, you just hesitate less.
