I'm a pastor in a new city 4 hrs away from my wife & baby son, where she's trying to sell our old home to move here. I'm more lonely than I can take.

Ohhhh sweetie. Im just a new sheep in the flock and I can tell you that I know the Lord will provide for you. Lift up your problems to Him and open your heart. Get to know your new congregation and allow them into your life. Talk to your wife everyday and let her know how much you care and love her. Im sure she is just as lonely as you are. We often think pastors have no problems but that just nonsense. You have alot of weight on your shoulders but remember that God will not give you anything you cannot handle. Let your faith be your strength. God Bless you.

Hey "Ewe"...calling a pastor "sweetie" is inappropriate.

There is no God. So, just hit a few night clubs and find a hottie to sleep with. All the other pastors and priests are doing it. Why not you?

^^^ You are right; we are our own Gods. Right and wrong is determined only by rich people who make laws to suit themselves. So do not worry about breaking moral laws. Go have fun!

OP - To the first poster, thanks. I definitely let my wife know, and she's just as eager for things to change as I am. I agree about spending time getting to know the new church, which I'm doing. Unfortunately, pastors can never truly open up to the congregation. That's suicide, since any honestly is always used against us. We just have to go it alone, but I definitely feel God's grace when I get to my wit's end.

I am so thankful that you didn't write "and I'm cheating on her" but you wrote that you were lonely. It proves that love can overcome and that there are good husbands/preachers out there

Cant you go see her on certain days during the week? Find a male friend or a couple to invite to lunch and get to know. Its okay to be friends with the members outside of church. Ask God to feel you being content being alone. You know hes always there for you.

I'm the REAL OP - the post 2 above is clearly a nutcase. And this is the first and last time I ever post a secret.

Pastor, I knew as soon as I started reading that fake posters comment that it was not you. See what an ugly mean world it is out here. Maybe you can find a christian site filled with good positive feed back. My prayers are with you. I pray for others even tho, Im not near as close to God as I once was before. I dont live the christian life but like the bible says about raising children in gods way, well, I will never forget the true way.

God promises to never leave you or forsake you...drawn near to me and I'll draw near to you...lean not on your own understanding...ask God into your heart...He will fill that lonely void and only He can fill...

Absence makes the hard grow fonder.....If you decide not to post a secret because of some idiot responce here on the internet you'll be missing out on the 90% of positive responces.
