When ^^ they say stop thinking they probably mean stop over-thinking the situation. I do that occasionally and I've got a lot more life experience than you, and every time I over-think some situation, I get myself in trouble too. Now find someone close to you who also has a lot of life experience and talk to them about when you feel this way. If you were my child that's exactly what I'd want and pray for you to do.
