To 9/11 conspiracy theorists, I invoke Occam's Razor: "plurality should not be posited without necessity." In layman's terms, "The simplest answer is usually the correct answer."
What is more likely here: A massive government conspiracy, requiring the complicity of dozens if not hundreds of US citizens to murder thousands of their fellow citizens? Trusting that out of those involved, not a single one would speak a word of what happened?
Or, that a band of religious fanatics, who have publicly dedicated their lives to the destruction of the "Great Satan" and its inhabitants, used simple but effective weapons to take over several airliners and fly them into buildings?

Like all big conspiracy theories, this one is shot to hell by one important fact...there have been no leaks. It doesn't matter if your boss chews his toenails or the President is an alien who eats babies, NOTHING on this entire planet ever stays a secret. Any conspiracy that has zero backing by an official who leaked information is false. The response is always, "They haven't proved it wasn't an inside job" which is about as logical as me proving I'm not made up of rocks. It can be done, but the effort isn't really worth it to prove a nutjob wrong.
However, having said that, I will admit that I believe the administration in charge knowingly let it happen. Maybe not the day or the exact plan, but they almost certainly knew SOMETHING and just sat back to reap the benefits. I can't prove that and I don't know it to be true, but it's how I feel. And no, I'm not a raging liberal. I'm actually a moderate conservative. I just think Bush damaged this country far more than any planes ever could.

OK. I'm pitching a proposal to a demolition engineer. Here's what I say to him. "I have three buildings you have to demolish. They have to come straight down without hitting any other buildings. They just happen to be the tallest buildings in the middle of Manhattan.Of course, they all have to come *straight* down without damaging any other buildings just like any normal demolition.
