I agree, while I too am an atheist, I would call myself a Conservative. I'm sickened by the prevalence on both the right and the left to assume that one's religion dictates their view on everything.

I am Catholic. I don't believe you need to worship a God to have a conscience. I do feel that conservatives (Republicans) have the better idea of how we should steer this country...but it takes understanding and acceptance. I accept you as an Atheist and a Conservative Republican.

I'm a conservative Democrat and a strong believer. Not a practicing Christian anymore, but a believer just the same. I party my ass off but I have a very strict value system which really baffles people. Who says any of us HAS to make sense?

^^ The ONLY difference is that Islam teaches world dominance? You ever see a Christian behead anyone? You ever see a Christian strap explosives on their children? We DO NOT need to accept everyone, We need to get rid of those among us who want to destroy our country, mainly Muslim extremists. ^^ The reason people don't call themselves Republicans anymore is because Conservatives are no longer represented by Republicans, Republicans sold us out with the Bush's. There will be a true conservative party one day, we'll either take it back from the republicans or start are own. 3 up, you are stupid if you see no difference between Cfhristians and Muslims, exept for world dominance. 1 up is right.

I am a Democrat that is pro-life and believes everyone should be taxed equally. I am against welfare except in the most extreme and needy circumstances (single mothers who can't work and afford child care may be an example, or disabled)but welfare fraud, able bodied people too lazy to work but getting food stamps, should be prosecuted. People on this site who say Obama wants to give everyone a handout and where's my free money, have not listened to a word he has said. He has asked all of us to participate in helping getting this country back on track. It is our country, why are all of the bitter republicans crying? Step up and help for once!
