We all have hidden desires that we suppress because they are not acceptable. You probably just enjoy the rush of getting away with something you know is wrong. A part of you may feel you are entitled to the items because other areas of your life are lacking (you aren't feeling loved, appreciated, having your needs fulfilled). Your desire to steal would lessen if you had more excitement in your life and more spontaneaty. If you expand on your reasons for stealing, I could give you further explanation. You may want to undergo psychological therapy to avoid a jail sentence-this would show the judge you recognize you have a problem and are seeking treatment. And anyone who walks into a psychologist's office is going to get diagnosed with something- we all have some kind of issue that is probably found somewhere in a textbook!
