I feel the same way about my cat. She literally jumped on my lap one night meowing, and stomping her little feet...giving me the strength to put down the handful of pills that I know would have killed me. After quieting her down, I no longer had the courage to pick those pills back up...she is the reason I am alive today..she is THE most important thing to me..and I will continue to put her first above all others and things. I fear the day she passes...my courage will again be tested.

My words exactly, except my baby's name is Sammy. I found him in horrific shape, slowly walkig down the street, exactly 366 days from the day my husband of 13 years walked out the door. That year was a living hell for me, then I see this dog in worse shape than I and I rescued him. But you know what? He rescued me right back and gave me a reason to smile again. I was never alone and unloved from that day forth. He is the BEST, and he's incredibly smart! I traded in my husband for my dog. I got a good trade! I love you Sammy!!
