kudos for getting out of that relationship. It has been 5 years, though. Try doing a volunteer job in your area by checking out volunteermatch or take a class at your local community college in something that has interested you. No need to keep that ghost of what was once a happy marriage haunting you this far out. You don't need to die alone. Husbands usually die before wives anyway, so even if you were still together it is likely he would kick the bucket before you.

Sorry to learn this happened to you. When I hear stories like yours, I sometimes wonder if the partner who'd been cheated upon would be better off if s/he'd never learned.... my ex cheated on me all the time and thought I didn't know... I knew... I just accepted it. I finally got out for other reasons.

^Why do women "accept" what is unacceptable behavior? It isn't ok, and you shouldn't let the jerks think it is ok! To the poster, I'm sure he ended up alone too. He's working on fantasy, to make himself feel younger, but I doubt that she wanted that responsibility. There are a lot of whores out there as this website shows us. My Mom felt the same way, it was hard to watch her sink deeper but she kept her head up and began to heal. I know you can too! When you feel more 'yourself' you just might find someone better. My Mom did and he is awesome to her. She is happier now than she ever was in her 25 year marriage. Good luck!!
