I see it as more of a way to see peoples real thoughts when the constraints of being politically correct are removed and their real feelings come to light. It may help you to see how you interact in real life and why life unfolds as it does. Not all remarks are bullying.

This site is a reality check. It's good to know there are some good folks out there and it's better to know there are some real nut cases to protect yourself from. Take none of it personally and it's all good.

i had secret on here that involved a family member molesting me and most people that commented were assholes who made fun of me. i agree with the op, people shouldn't say hurtful things just for the fun of it!

One thing we'll be trying is requiring accounts to post. Originally we didn't want to force users to have accounts because its more convenient. But now I've realized its required because users will be more afraid of losing their posting priviledges. Accounts will also have different levels of trust. If we trust you, your comments will go up immediately. If you're a new user, you're going to have to earn our trust.

If you post anything on the internet you should be readily expecting anyone and everyone to have a comment. If you post some f'd up stuff, you bet someones gonna be an @$$ or make a dick joke. I'll gladly put up with having to wade through all the junk comments, just so I can freely speak my mind.

Why do posters have to earn trust? This isn't our job, this is one place where one should be able to speak freely. This site is a release. If people don't like something then they can comment and move on. What is the problem with that? Other than porn I don't know why you would want to censor this site. It will ruin it. Seriously.

Moderating these comments is wrong. Using better judgement on what is truly a secret is what is needed here. When someone submits a secret and it gets posted they should be ready for the bad as well as the good. But many of the so called secrets are just not. Censorship is wrong. Recognizing the idiots is a good exercise for anyone. The too sensitive should stay away, the rest of us are mature enough to recognize the a** ****s. Finally, I suggest that only one comment be allowed per sperson, like the up/down vote, once you've voted, you can't vote again, likewise once you've commented, you should be locked out from commenting again. This might force people to be more real in their comments and also put and end to the arguing that goes on and on and on while getting uglier with every post. And that's what I think about that.

I like the site the way it is. Who cares about the arguing and stuff? Get over it, they're just arguing on here because their too big of a pussy to argue with someone face to face. Nothing about this site should be changed. As for all the bs posts, who cares about that either, they get comments, don't they? Moderating or accounts will not be that bad. It's basically the same, except that you have to log in first. It makes it more difficult to abuse the site. Comments from bran new accounts will be moderated more than accounts that have been open a little longer and have not been abused. So, if you're had an account and you seem not to be a jerk, you can post as fast as you like. But, if your comments are getting flagged, you'll go back to being fully moderated, or if you're an *** ****, you'll be completely ignored. You have freedom of speech, and I have the freedom to ignore *** ****s :)
