You don't have to take care of him.My father left me when I was 9. He 'found' me again when I was 41. Turns out he has cancer and wanted to 'mend' our relationship before it is too late. I told him it was too late like 30 years ago.

my dad beat me till i bled, my dad made me be scared all day and night, my dad would tell me the time and date i would get a beating, i hated him for so many years, now i take care of him and love him. He made me the person that i am.
