I wait for someone to love me, instead of going out and finding love. I'm an attractive strong male with a sensitive side, but I'm so afraid of rejection.

Most women are afraid too. You have to put yourself out there. Once you find someone, you will see that it was worth the risk.

My ex was this way as well, at times I wished I wasn't the one chasing him, that he would chase me. You might feel rejected but she doesn't even know you like her.

Ditch the b****es and make the switch...

Then don't put yourself out there 100% to get rejected. Treat new women you are interested like your normal public facade. Guard yourself. Open up as they open up.

Men aren't the only ones who are afraid to open up and being rejected. Though I am married I am afraid of him leaving me and I don't want to be alone. Just take baby steps and only put out a little bit at a time. Good luck hun.

Hey, rejection ain't so bad a thing. I mean, it won't kill you are anything like that. Yea, it might hurt a little, and sometimes it hurts a lot. So? Think of it as a numbers game: say, you have got to get through nine rejections before you get to the prize. Every rejection gets you closer to the non-rejection. See how it works? Sooner or later you find the right one for you. But you gotta play the game. Get in there and mix it up. Staying on the sidelines means you are not in the game. How can you possibly find what you want if you don't get out there? Good fortune favors the bold.

How old are you?

I was in the same boat. Funny thing is, the same day that I REALLY stopped looking was the same day that I met my future wife (getting married in a few months). REALLY STOP LOOKING! Also, don't be affraid of rejection. Anyone that rejects you is nothing more than just another person in a sea of people.

Given that women hold all the controls, that's probably normal, and it's certainly sane. This isn't a safe world for men.

I agree with the prior poster. Unfortunately, what that means is that you will be waiting a long time, and possibly for the rest of your life.

I suffer from this syndrome too. I keep sculpting my body and clothing styles to attract women, but I become more distant. I'm too damn sensitive, wish I could sack-up like those guys who always have silicone-enhanced arm candy. They are dicks to women. The same women who piss and moan about 'em on this site. I gotta toughen up. Any suggestions on how to do that?
