^1 up... Yes locusts will fly through and completely devour all vegetation in an area causing a huge loss of crops. If your family comes for the weekend and eats all the food in the fridge, and leaves a bunch of dishes in the sink you would feel vandilized, as though a swarm of locusts came through.
