As long as the worst it will do is give him a rash and make him itchy go for it! Just don't get carried away and do something that will hurt simply because you hurt. I completly understand how you feel though and really can't blame you for wanting to cause him some discomfort after all the years you spent with him when you could have been looking for the "right" person.
